Privacy Policy
Last Updated: March 15, 2025
At linker-joiner, we take your privacy seriously. This document explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you interact with our financial analysis services. We've worked hard to make this policy as clear as possible, but if something doesn't make sense, reach out to us directly.
Information We Collect
When you use our platform, we gather different types of information. Some you provide directly, and some we collect automatically as you navigate our services.
Information You Provide
- Contact details including name, email address, and phone number when you register or reach out
- Business information such as company name, industry sector, and organizational size
- Financial data you upload for analysis purposes, including reports and statements
- Communication content when you email us or use our contact forms
- Payment information processed through our secure payment partners
Automatically Collected Data
- Device information including IP address, browser type, and operating system
- Usage patterns showing which features you access and how long you spend on different pages
- Location data (general, not precise) based on your IP address
- Technical logs that help us troubleshoot issues and improve performance
How We Use Your Information
We're not in the business of selling your data. Everything we collect serves a specific purpose related to providing and improving our financial analysis services.
Purpose | Description |
---|---|
Service Delivery | Processing your financial data and generating analysis reports tailored to your business needs |
Account Management | Creating and maintaining your user account, handling authentication, and managing subscriptions |
Communication | Responding to your inquiries, sending service updates, and providing customer support |
Platform Improvement | Analyzing usage patterns to enhance features and fix technical issues |
Security | Detecting fraud, preventing unauthorized access, and protecting against security threats |
Important Note: Under South Korean Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), we are required to obtain your explicit consent before processing sensitive financial data. We'll always ask for clear permission before analyzing any confidential business information.
Data Sharing and Third Parties
We don't hand over your information to just anyone. When we do share data, it's always with a specific purpose and under strict controls.
Service Providers We Work With
- Cloud hosting services that store your data securely on servers located in South Korea
- Payment processors who handle transactions but never see your financial analysis data
- Email service providers for sending you account notifications and updates
- Analytics tools that help us understand how people use our platform (with anonymized data)
All our partners sign data processing agreements and must follow the same strict privacy standards we do. They can only use your information for the specific services they provide to us.
When Law Requires Disclosure
Sometimes we're legally obligated to share information with government authorities or regulatory bodies in South Korea. This might happen if there's a court order, tax investigation, or financial compliance audit. We'll notify you when possible, unless prohibited by law.
Your Rights Under South Korean Law
PIPA gives you significant control over your personal data. Here's what you can do and how to exercise these rights.
Access and Review
You can request a copy of all personal information we hold about you. We'll provide this in a readable format within 10 business days. Log into your account dashboard or email us at support@linker-joiner.com with "Data Access Request" in the subject line.
Correction and Updates
Found an error in your information? You can update most details directly through your account settings. For data you can't change yourself, send us a correction request and we'll update our records within 5 business days.
Deletion Rights
You can ask us to delete your personal data at any time. We'll comply unless we have a legal obligation to retain certain information (like financial records for tax purposes). The deletion process typically takes 30 days to complete across all our systems.
To request deletion, email support@linker-joiner.com with "Account Deletion Request" and we'll guide you through the process. Be aware that deleting your account means losing access to all historical analysis reports.
Processing Restrictions
You can temporarily pause processing of your data while we investigate any disputes or concerns you raise. During this period, we'll only store your information, not actively use it.
Withdraw Consent
Since we rely on your consent for processing sensitive financial data, you can withdraw that consent whenever you choose. This won't affect any processing we did before you withdrew consent.
Data Security Measures
Financial information demands serious protection. We've implemented multiple layers of security to keep your data safe from unauthorized access, theft, or loss.
- End-to-end encryption for all data transmission using TLS 1.3 protocol
- AES-256 encryption for stored data on our servers
- Regular security audits conducted by independent third parties
- Multi-factor authentication required for all user accounts
- Strict access controls limiting employee access to only necessary data
- Automated backup systems with 30-day retention for disaster recovery
- Intrusion detection systems monitoring for suspicious activity 24/7
Our servers are housed in certified data centers within South Korea that comply with international security standards including ISO 27001. Physical access is restricted and monitored.
Despite our best efforts, no online system is completely invulnerable. If we detect any data breach that affects your information, we'll notify you within 24 hours and report it to the Korean Personal Information Protection Commission as required by law.
Data Retention Periods
We don't keep your information forever. How long we retain data depends on its type and purpose.
Data Type | Retention Period |
---|---|
Account Information | Duration of active account plus 1 year after closure |
Financial Analysis Data | 3 years from last access or as long as your account remains active |
Transaction Records | 5 years (required by Korean tax law) |
Communication Logs | 2 years from last contact |
Technical Logs | 90 days unless needed for ongoing security investigation |
After these periods expire, we securely delete or anonymize your data so it can no longer identify you. Anonymized data might be retained indefinitely for statistical analysis and service improvement.
International Data Transfers
Your data primarily stays within South Korea. However, some of our service providers operate globally, which might involve transferring data internationally.
When we transfer data outside South Korea, we ensure adequate protection through standard contractual clauses approved by Korean authorities. These contracts require foreign recipients to maintain privacy protections comparable to South Korean law.
Currently, we work with cloud service providers in South Korea exclusively for storing financial analysis data. Other operational data might be processed by partners in countries with adequate data protection frameworks.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Like most websites, we use cookies and similar technologies. Here's what they do and how you can control them.
Essential Cookies
These are necessary for the platform to function. They handle things like keeping you logged in and remembering your preferences. You can't disable these without breaking core functionality.
Analytics Cookies
We use these to understand how people navigate our site. The data is anonymized and helps us improve user experience. You can opt out through your account settings.
Managing Your Preferences
Most browsers let you control cookies through their settings. Blocking all cookies might limit your ability to use certain features. Check your browser's help section for instructions on cookie management.
Changes to This Policy
Business needs and legal requirements evolve. When we update this privacy policy, we'll notify you via email at least 30 days before changes take effect. Significant changes will require you to review and accept the updated policy before continuing to use our services.
We'll maintain previous versions of this policy in our archive so you can review what was in place at any given time. The "Last Updated" date at the top shows when the current version became effective.

If you have questions about this privacy policy or how we handle your data, we're here to help. Don't hesitate to reach out.
